Quartz banger sizes explained (10/14/18mm, 45° vs 90°, male/female)

Three measurements decide whether a banger fits your rig. Get all three right and everything seals perfectly; get one wrong and it simply won't fit.

1. Joint size: 10, 14 or 18mm The diameter of the frosted glass joint. 14mm is the most common size on modern rigs; 10mm appears on small mini rigs, 18mm on larger older pieces. Measure your rig's joint or check its specs — the banger must match exactly.

2. Gender: male or female A male banger slides INTO a female rig joint; a female banger fits OVER a male rig joint. Most dab rigs have a female joint, so most people need a male banger. Look at your rig: if the joint opening faces inward (you'd insert something), it's female.

3. Angle: 90° or 45° The angle between joint and bucket. 90° joints stick out horizontally — standard on upright rigs, the bucket stands vertical. 45° joints angle upward — typical on beaker-style rigs. The bucket must stand level, or your concentrate pools to one side.

Bucket diameter (the top opening) Separate from the joint: wider buckets (commonly 20–25mm) fit larger dabs and bigger carb caps. Your carb cap must cover this opening — check carb cap types for matching.

Shortcut Our setup builder only suggests parts that genuinely fit together — pick your rig and it filters compatible bangers automatically. Still unsure? Contact us with a photo of your rig's joint.
